Tussar Ghicha Silk Sarees are woven with Tussar in warp and hand spun Ghicha in weft, having length of 6.5 metres and width 45”. The Saree has undyed Tussar and dyed Ghicha to produce a special effect and are mostly weaved on pit looms/frame looms. Ghicha sarees are 100% silk, produced from ruptured cocoon filaments which do not get included in the routine process of reeling in of Tussar silk directly from the cocoon. Tussar Ghicha exuberates the lustrous silk sheen. Ghicha silk is mostly produced in Bhagalpur in Bihar district.
